The chemical attacks in Syria have deeply affected me. I don't normally share this kind of thing but, Ive been having trouble sleeping and swallowing food and water. 

I choose to make this meme white because there's an emptiness in me upon losing our brothers and sisters in Syria. I also chose white because now, they are in God's white light of protection in heaven. 

Seeing children gasping for air & parents screaming for help is not something that I would not normally allow myself to watch, but it's also not something can just turn away from.

Im sharing this because I would like for you to know that if you have been feeling awful & helpless regarding these attacks, you're not alone.  

All that I feel like I can do is love. I pray everyday and ask God to protect the children who are suffering or dying in this horrific event. 

Perhaps this is God's way of helping people who have grown numb to the news/ignored it or see it as far from home. I hope that more people will become compassionate and less dismissive. 

Lastly I will say this: Please do not bash anyone who feels helpless and says that they are praying for the families and victims of this horrific event. Some people connect to God when terror strikes. It's their way of finding solutions and/or maintaining a sense of sanity in midst of chaos.
