Today I got to see my very first best friend Krystal Alsept Beier for the first time in decades! We became best friends when we were just 5 years old. I walked into class scared as ever & there she was in the corner of the class with a big smile on her face :). I felt like she was waiting for me even though we had never met before. I sat next to her & we instantly bonded. I was so soft spoken & terrified but she wasn't scared. She was so kind to me & she guided me through the exercises that were given to us & told me what to do next etc... . After a few minutes, our teacher came over & moved me to my assigned seat, which was behind her (alphabetical order). I didn't take well to that! I was absolutely terrified of my new setting & I felt so protected & comforted by her so... I moved back to sit next to her...only to get moved back :( . Anyway, our bond grew stronger & as the years went by we kept in contact with each other via letters, emails & social media... . Today she came to NYC for the first time & we ran to each other & hugged! What's funny is, we have pictures where we are wearing blue dresses when we were younger & today, we both wore blue coats! We also ordered the same exact meal at dinner & we whipped out the same chapstick(neither of us even like this chapstick brand but we bought it out of desperation, lol) & we both grew to be the exact same height(she was always taller) :)

What a sweet ending to a rough year.
