I don't know Kelly Ripa but I met Regis Philbin when I was an intern at WABC-T.V.
I was walking around in our private lobby area on the 2nd floor when Regis saw me from the 4th fl. through the foliage. He blurted out "Who's there?!" I was so shy, all I could manage was "Uuuuhhhh.. I work here..." .
He asked me if I was an intern for the news & I said "Yes I am!" and his response was "Oh good! What's your name?" I said "Alma." And he said "Welcome! Work hard! You're going to do well!" He was so kind to me.
It's strange, apart from this when I was at ABC , there wasn't a lot of togetherness backstage so Im not surprised about Kelly being blind-sided. Well, anyway, I had fun & Regis' well wishes helped bring in a lot of luck in my life :)
