I hope you like this gif of Homer. I just wanted to post it here to lighten things up a bit because food an raise such intense feelings. And anyway, pizza is delicious. :)
Dear readers,
I've done work with kids who do not have a lot. That includes food. How blessed you are to be able to make healthful choices in your diet? To have the strength & funds to obtain food that is aligned with your happiness. To eat food that makes you feel so good. You are very blessed indeed. Please thank God for your food.
Please don't food-shame others. Would you shame 1 of the many hungry children in the United States for eating donated food that contains meat or food that is not organic? Do you know for certain that in your neighborhood or city there is not 1 kid who is hungry & barely has the strength to go outside & play with his/her friends? Can you see yourself in a hungry child? Are you afraid of seeing that?
I don't think that you have it in your heart to food- shame a kid who needs to eat something that you would not eat. I think that in your soul, you want what's best for all living beings even if it means that the diet of one being must differ from the next. Food snobbery is not spiritual & high minded. It's messy & cold. If you donate to charity, please don't turn around & shame people who benefit from those charities. You helped them, remember? What about your heartful intentions? Those count you know...
If you're like me & you lean more toward veggees & organic products, just be thankful. That's all. Just love that about yourself. Just take a deep breath of love & light when you see others eating food that you would not eat. You are human & aware of what your body loves to consume. Simple. Vegetables like kale & broccoli have a life & soul too. Why wouldn't they? They reach up to God too. Why wouldn't they? God is Great.
Vegees are pure energy just like you and when you die you will be eaten by the earth and the flowers and plants that grow from it. Please do your best to spread knowledge about food in constructive, useful & loving ways. Negative ads & boastful words about eating organic are just ways to distract human life from being calm, knowledgeable & open-minded about what we eat.
You'll reach more people that way.
