As we prepare to leave the intensified phase of mercury retrograde and head into its direct phase, it's a great time to push out the old energy through the beautiful self caring act of meditation. On the 25th, Mercury will be in its direct phase which will loosen things up. For now, review your very own station and take the lead by going within and connecting with your mind, your body and with God.
If you are having trouble choosing when to meditate, ask yourself which one makes you feel more calm: Is it daylight or a well lit room? Perhaps you like the evening or early morning before the sun rises... Whatever the case, allow yourself to feel naturally drawn to your most desired setting for meditation. Try not to force yourself into an environment or bodily position that doesn't work for you.
Meditation provides cognitive and physiological benefits. It increases self awareness, empathy and compassion. Furthermore, meditation has been scientifically proven to actually change the brain by increasing the amount of gray matter in the frontal cortex.
Gray matter is informally known as "intelligence". It helps with executive decision making, memory & self relevance.
Give yourself a few minutes of peace each day. If you skip a day, don't allow the distraction of guilt to settle in. Just keep going be the most important thing is to connect with God and to feel the energy of peace.
