Prayers & Condolences: Integrity Is Key | almamyrtle.com

I wish people would stop finding something physical about the victims of terrorist attacks to identify with in order for them to "feel" compassion, pray or send condolences.
This type of self inflicted mind conditioning & needless separation misses the entire point. Even more, it's so incredibly far from solving the problem that it is in fact the basis of why the problem persists.
What if it were you in that room or you dealing with the aftermath? You wouldn't want people to afford the luxury of choosing not to feel for you. You'd want to be saved, to be loved regardless of what you look like...to be prayed for. With all of the fear and pain you'd feel in those moments with gun shots & death all around you, you would nearly expect others regardless of their physical appearance to feel compassion for you.
Feeling compassion is a natural, soul thing. There's no need to mutate it with ignorance or heavy judgements... especially at this time.
Furthermore, one does not take a class to learn how to feel compassion. If anything the school is here, Earth. This is where you choose to amplify what you have or turn it all down.
Compassion is either present or it's nearly lifeless within the being. Please do not be so eager to muffle this natural God force within. The dark side is not a safe place. It's total insanity & loss of freedom.
If you're overwhelmed by news stories & all you can post is "prayers & condolences", that's fine but just remember to show yourself & others integrity by really praying & really taking part in making a change.
The change will always start with us as individuals, first.
