Sayings On Tea Tags | almamyrtle.com

Last night, my friend & I noticed this tea tag(top). We both agreed quite simultaneously that the saying is just plain frustrating.

A lot of people would translate the saying on the first tea tag as:

"You're supposed to enjoy every single moment, including if you get robbed, raped, verbally abused, lose a baby or really any other hardship that befalls you. If you don't you're not being spiritual enough. If you don't enjoy every moment then there's something wrong with you. If you don't enjoy every moment, it means that to some higher being, you're ungrateful, not enjoying life or you're just not good enough."

So I made my own. :)

I just want people to question these things. I love Yogi tea, but this saying basically tells people that life is easy & that it's you, soley, who makes it hard. Not true. Our paths intertwine. We're one. We make life easy and hard for each other, but we have choices that come in many forms.

Choices in how we think, how we live... . Altogether, we're here to learn & at most, that is a fact that none of us can deny. Enjoying or disliking something is a choice. We are entitled to choices because as living forms, this is how we learn and this is how learning handles itself. Learning is not an option.

So, have a beautiful day and remember this: You're doing just fine. God is pleased. How? I have no idea, but that's how God is & that's f*king amazing.
