When I was little, my aunt taught me some gentle ways to speak to flowers & plants. At first I wasn't sure about that but then I quickly realized that I'd be speaking to a living creature so, I went with it. I really loved walking through her garden & saying sweet things to her plants, flowers & vegetables patches in my high-pitched 7 year old voice :) .
The flowers would just receive my blessings & shine. I felt so peaceful simply knowing that they could feel my love.
One day while walking through the woods out back, I came across some poison ivy & I got a small rash. My first thought was not to be angry at the plant & regret speaking to it so kindly. Rather, I realized that what had happened was natural & part of its job. I understood that the plant didn't like being touched where I had touched it for if it did, it would not have given me a rash :) . So out of curiosity, I looked up other jobs that the plant has & to my surprise I found that poison ivy provides food for birds & that it has medicinal purposes for human beings.
I just wanted to share this with you because it made me sad to read the negative mind-closing words in an article about an extremely poisonous plant(Giant Hog Weed). The plant is being called "a nasty plant" , "a green monster" a bunch of other distracting negative titles that are geared toward scaring the hell out of people instead of educating them. Yes the plant is very large & poisonous, but it's not walking around trying to kill people. Human beings are doing that faster than any plant on earth.
Think for yourself & see past the fear based articles that are hitting the airwaves these days.
Love you.
