I’m posting this because to me, Robin Williams was more than just a famous person. His talent & brilliant light brought me & my uncle steve, close. My uncle & I watched Mrs. Doubtfire over & over when I was a kid. We talked about how sharp & amazing R. Williams was & how laughter is one of the greatest things life has to offer… . …I often receive powerful messages when I’m in and around moving water. Sunday morning, only 1 day before the coroners found the body of Robin Williams, I turned on the shower & heard “You ain’t never had a friend like me.”. I closed my eyes to get a better view of what I was being told, and as the echo of those words repeated in my mind, I saw the insecure but fun loving Genie from Aladdin. I grew sad thinking about how that friend didn’t think anyone loved him enough. I grew sad thinking about how he would no longer be with us in bodily form & how he felt like no one saw how much he cared so he balled up & went inside himself…just like the genie & his lamp. I thought about the importance of loyalty within friendships, & about self love & self respect. Give to others but don’t forget yourself. Give to others but when you give, if it starts to hurt, stop & give to yourself. R.I.P. Robin Williams. Let God & the angels show you how beautiful you are. Laugh with them now. <3
